An Otherwise Quiet Room AOQR is a webseries created, hosted and produced by Mandy Connell. It has produced 6 seasons, based in regions of Melbourne and shot on location at several festivals. It features duets- songs and interviews with musician and small business holders/ hosts. The Newstead Sessions were filmed in Jan 2019 by Bob Hutchison and edited by him over the next 12 months. The Moreland Sessions were shot and edited by Agostino Soldati Films in 2018 and launched at the Spotted Mallard wth a set of postcards and a 62 page book designed by 16th Floor Graphic Design. Empty Train 2016 (The False Knight)
Empty Train 2016 (The False Knight) Connell’s voice features on David Francey’s Empty Train with the song “The False Knight”. Francey won Best Album for Empty Train at the 2016 Canadian Folk Music Awards. Francey says Connell is “One of my favourite trad voices anywhere”. Connell’s vocals were recorded by Colin Wynne at Thirty Mill Studios, and sent over to David Francey via facebook messenger!
