Three singer songwriters from three different traditional backgrounds- as a special treat, Connell brings some traditional Anglo Celtic songs into a solo set of her own material. Connell is on first, followed by Pablo Rivas and Bonnie Smith, from 8pm at the Wesley Anne, High Street Northcote, on the 86 Tram Line.

Songwriter & guitarist with an arresting presence. Her powerful and beautiful voice steeped in traditional anglo celtic music and honed in the contemporary writer’s scene. Loved across Europe, the UK and Australia, she is lauded by Eric Bogle, Dallas Frasca, and Judy Small. Connell has recorded on albums with Enda Kenny and David Francey, and hosts a web series featuring artists and small businesses across the Eastern states. Her lyrics are driven by melody, angry, tender, passionate, firing an unexpected emotional cinema of your own Bring your best voice to this show and sing out loud.

Pablo Rivas - On Second

South American music Melbourne-based songwriter Pablo Rivas has been composing and exploring many musical genres since his early
days while staying true to his own unique sound.

Pablo Rivas was born in Argentina, Buenos Aires, where he formed different bands performing live around Argentina and Uruguay.

Now mixing a bit of Melbourne flavour, Pablo Rivas & The Blue Diamond Band brings a unique sound that gets you on a trip to South America with a bit of Australian
pepper. Music which will get you intrigued and captivated"

Bonnie Smith - On Second
Bonnie is a world music extraordinaire and sings in many languages such as Spanish, French, Portuguese, Turkish and not to forget, English! Bonnie and her group Reflejos will present all new material, and ORIGINAL with a Gypsy/Jazzy touch. Bonnie's music draws on many travels and collaborations which is rich in Latin American rhythms, vocal harmonies and instrumentations, peppered with moments of Central and Eastern European Gypsy folk tradition. Her soaring vocals lead audiences seamlessly from stirring laments to rousing melodies that bring every room to its feet.
